Waterfall (Yep you guessed it I still attempt to write poems!)
Hello again, I thought that with the imminent launch of the new history podcast that it might be a nice idea to attempt to post three decent pieces of original work one day after the other. A Poem today, A story tomorrow. And some History on Friday. Unfortunately I couldn’t find three pieces of decent work so I will just post these things instead! (Well I thought that was funny at least!)
So me and a friend were lying in the smallest most cramped tent in Scotland to weeks ago and in the dark nights my mind was attempting to write a story about a waterfall that we had seen on that day, the story did not find itself turning out very well but these few little lines did come out of the attempt...
Waterfall
By Daniel .M. Brown
Narrow space
Sets the pace
Rivers race
Rock face
Waters crash
Rocks smash
Pebbles splash
Cameras flash
The drop is steep
To pools deep
Tourists peep
The mountains weep
Rapids flow
Eddies slow
The stream runs low
But soon to grow.
Thanks for reading folks check back tomorrow for a new story and then on friday for the first episode of the new history audio series.
Until then as always,
Look after yourself and have fun,
dan
