A Quick Limerick!
Just a quickie for you today!
Up in the highlands everything is great, everything except for the midges! For those of you who don’t know, midges are little tiny flies that love to bite you. It would not be an exaggeration for me to say that I have seen countless thousands of them flying around as I cowered in my tent! It is on the biggest stone on the right hand side of the photo above that I sat down and did a bit of writing while I was away, the night before we had had one crazy series of ridiculous limericks thats made no sense and didn’t even have the full limerick verse!
So it was that I happened to think this one up while the others had breakfast, just a note, that the ‘ridges’ mentioned refer to ridges of a mountain for those of you who are not particularly outdoorsy types!
Midges
By Daniel .M. Brown
A young man all covered in midges,
Couldn’t help but wriggle and fidget.
When one bit his neck,
He said good grief oh-’eck
At least it’s to windy for midges on ridges.
Just thought I would throw that in here as there is no other time or place that will ever be apropriate in any way to bring it up again!
Have a lovely day and look after yourself,
dan
