Point of Stoer. (a little poem if you please)
Hey there folks, I am on my dinner break now, still with aching limbs and sunburn from wednesdays walk, but alas there is still another 4 and a half hours left for me to work, so lets take our minds off this awful truth with this little poem.
I wrote this at Point of Stoer in Scotland the morning after writing the short piece “Writers Block” I had packed up my tent and while the other people I was with packed up their things I went and sat down on the rocks a meter or so from the sea.
It is only short as I had very little time, and I attempted to work this into the final verse, but as with all my so called poems, they are very humble and basic in both concept and execution. Anyway why not share them with you all the same? Enjoy.
Point of Stoer
By Daniel .M. Brown
Gladly now I would forsake
All other days that be
In return that I should take
Another by the sea.
As cool waters break
Upon stones and seaweed
The soaring gull dives to take
Its hearty little feed.
But off the shores I must go
To live life far and wide
And it seems only I know
This memory inside.
And with that, we moved on to the next step in our Scotland adventure, more soon.
Until the next time folks,
Look after yourselves and have fun,
dan
